Arcade Summer: The Success Story
Arcade Summer's impact on the platform is incredibly significant, he has generated over 550,000+ product views, generated over 3850+ sales, and earned £65,000+ in revenue. He's created a roster of 15 products in which he refers to "casting a net". He also started his hugely successful online persona / character 'Brad Ritz', who became instrumental in the platform's off-the-wall comedy and tutorials and helped paste a familiar zany face into the sea of preset packs for synthesizers & drum samples.
Arcade Summer's success story is a powerful example of what can be achieved with the right mindset, approach, and hard work. As a seller on the platform, Arcade Summer has not only become the number 1 seller of all time, but he has also had a significant impact on the platform as a whole. Through his creativity, experimentation, and entrepreneurial spirit, Arcade Summer has pushed the boundaries of what is possible on the platform and set a new standard for success. As the platform owner, I am simply not the same person I was after meeting and collaborating with David ( Arcade Summer). As a consequence, not only has he found success on the platform, but the creative symbiosis has had a huge effect on my own character. I am now much more professional, blunt, critically constructive, out of the box and ultimately, willing to adapt. He has also had a huge impact on the overall site revenue, we noticed that when he would launch a huge product or YouTube video which leapt in popularity, so would the average revenue across other sellers. This is when I realized what TPB had to do as a whole to rain collective gold down on the creators.
One of the key factors that have contributed to Arcade Summer's success is his ability to think outside of the box. Instead of sticking to tried-and-true methods, Arcade Summer has always been willing to take risks and try new and unconventional ideas. This approach has allowed him to stand out in the marketplace and offer unique and innovative products that have resonated with customers. He has done this by analysing critically the response to whatever he will throw on the wall to see what sticks, if it works, he will lean into it. If it does not, then back to the drawing board with not a single stride lost in step.
While initially Arcade Summers Awesome content, demos and artwork served him well, he decided to take it up a notch by not only face revealing himself to make him seem much more personable with the audience, but completely leaning into the concept. He created Brad Ritz, a clone who's lore is intertwined with the lore of TPB. A zany, off the wall unstable clone made by the goings on of the crass, disgraced unconventional and unprofessional Dr Peterman who combined Dave's DNA with the V8K chip, a set of AI codebases constructed by Patch.ai an artificially intelligent part life form & machine sent by the Patchaloreans before their complete planetary destruction via a distress ship who's waypoint was set to earth in the hopes of spreading their type 3 civilisations merchant ideas & technology. By implanting a copy of this chip into the clone, each clone had its own mind and ideas and would often create videos on YouTube. Eventually this led to the original David getting really fed up and a large cull of the clones being attempted, at which point during the final phase, led to complete mental destruction which is depicted in the final farewell - The Junkflex Show.
While this whole ordeal was a huge undertaking from David, he pulled it off with amazing grace and professionalism, this then sky rocketed his wealth as he saw a 5 fold increase in overall sales, with the videos also garnering popularity to the site in general. Not only did he achieve magnum opus on the platform as the no.1 seller and still remaining so in 2024. He also achieved what he set out to do, to be a "creative cunt, leaving a mark with my work before I leave this shit heap of a planet".
Another important aspect of Arcade Summer's success is his relentless drive to be better than good enough. He has always pushed himself to go above and beyond, to create products that are not just good enough, but truly exceptional. This level of dedication and attention to detail has helped him to establish a reputation for excellence and has played a significant role in driving his sales. More times than at least 5 I would say he has completely canned a product and started again. He fears nothing. HIs mantra is creative purity. This is a man who rotoscopes for 18 hours straight in a video editor to perfect CGI on a few frames the average viewer may not even notice. He's a man who has flooded all the videos he released with hidden easter eggs, many of which I believe I still haven't found all of them to this day. He really is a cunning bastard.
Arcade Summer is also a true entrepreneurial spirit, he is always looking for new opportunities, and he is not afraid to take risks. He has a constant focus on growth and innovation, which has been instrumental in his success on the platform. Additionally, his persistence is also a major factor in his success, he doesn't give up easily, and he always finds a way to adapt and overcome obstacles. He has a can-do attitude and a determination to succeed which has helped him to achieve great results on the platform. I mean it when I say this. I would often give up before he would and he would talk me out of it. He was already ready to go with a creative battle, encouraging me to create CGI videos for the site, this in turn would inspire him to keep going himself.
Another key takeaway from Arcade Summer's success story is the importance of not getting caught up in statistics. Instead of focusing on short-term gains and metrics, Arcade Summer has always kept his eye on the bigger picture. He has focused on creating products and experiences that he truly believes in, and this has helped him to build a loyal following and drive long-term success. Like previously mentioned, this was a long game in which rather than throwing a single product onto The Patchbay 'to see what it does' and getting upset when nobody buys it, he understood he had to garner the support and earn the trust of the userbase. It was a long game in which he fully understood.
In addition to these key factors, Arcade Summer's success is also a result of his ability to be a leader, not a follower. Instead of simply copying what others were doing, Arcade Summer has always put his own spin on things and created products that are truly unique and original. This approach has helped him to establish a strong brand and stand out in the marketplace. He would approach cool ways to make a tune such as humming it via a recording and then plotting in the notes, he'd breakdown synthwave chords in an easy to understand way without academia, or, he would create an entire Junkflex Show in which he would explore creative purity while sticking to his brand.
Accepting valid criticism and feedback has also been a key factor in Arcade Summer's success. By listening to its customers and taking their feedback into account, Arcade Summer has been able to improve his products and increase sales. He understands that, sometimes, the harshest of criticism can lead to the most valuable insights and improvements.
Arcade Summer's success story also highlights the importance of building a strong relationship with the platform. By working closely with the platform and engaging with the community, Arcade Summer has been able to stay on top of the latest trends and technologies and adapt its approach accordingly. This has helped him to stay ahead of the curve and continue to drive success on the platform.
Arcade Summer's story also showcases the importance of building a strong brand and a loyal following. By creating the character of Brad Ritz, Arcade Summer was able to establish a unique and recognizable brand that resonated with customers. Brad Ritz became a familiar and beloved figure within the community, which helped to drive sales and increase brand recognition.
Arcade Summer's success is his focus on creating high-quality products. By infusing 3D visuals and VFX, Arcade Summer set his products apart and provided a unique and visually striking experience for his customers. This level of attention to detail and quality helped him to stand out in the marketplace and drive his sales.
Finally, Arcade Summer's success story is a testament to the power of storytelling in marketing. He was able to create a compelling narrative around his products, which helped to generate interest and build excitement among potential customers. Whether through the story of Brad Ritz or the concept behind the Megapacks, Arcade Summer was able to create a sense of intrigue and engagement that helped to boost sales.
Some of the key factors that contributed to Arcade Summer's success on the platform include:
- Thinking outside of the box
- Striving to be better than good enough
- Being entrepreneurial and persistent
- Adapting and overcoming when things don't go as planned
- Not getting caught up in statistics
- Being a leader, not a follower
- Accepting valid criticism and feedback to improve products and increase sales
In conclusion, Arcade Summer's success story is an inspiration for anyone looking to sell on the platform. With a combination of creativity, persistence, and a willingness to take risks, it is possible to achieve great success on the platform. Building strong relationships, focusing on quality, and experimenting with new ideas are key elements in achieving this success.
With all in mind, I must say the world has changed, even after Brad's era and post covid, we now face a world where sincerity is championed by most millennials, gen z and gen alpha. With the rise of face centric content and the rise of tik tok, reels and shorts, the new world of selling audio production content is going to have to really factor in this formula to succeed.

Brad Ritz is simply a genius. I bought his carefully crafted drum sets from Patchbay. Really exited about it. Futhermore, he‘s very creative, a great photographer and Clip Producer. I like his sense of humor. He is so multi-talented. I don‘t know how he finds time for all his projects. Find him on Facebook, he posts regularly.
Cheers,
Arpmode
