Synthetic For Opsix (Korg)

64 synth patches inspired by Synthwave, Retrowave and Outrun.

Exploring FM and analogue synthesis for nostalgic tones and new retro hits. This preset pack features lush polysynths, dreamy pads and plucky bass taking inspiration from artists like The Midnight and Miami Nights 1984 as well as iconic soundtracks like Top Gun. These presets (like all Hurton Audio packs) are hand crafted from the Init/default patch and designed for performance, to inspire song creation.

We studied the Yamaha DX7 ROMs as well as our TX81Z, to understand what makes some of these classic presets special. The DX presets in this pack are inspired by the DX7 and not specific recreations so we pushed DX7 staples like the Danger Zone bass, classic bells and electric pianos to new territories. The Opsix also has a powerful subtractive engine which we used for huge analogue sounding polysynths and pads as well as utilising the many filter models to create presets in the style of classic subtractive synthesizers.

This pack requires a Korg Opsix Series synthesizer (Opsix system v2.0 or later) or full license of the Opsix Native Plugin (Opsix native v1.0.0 or later)

Demos feature presets from this pack with no additional effects (except mix bus processing) and MIDI sequencing. Drum samples not included.
